The Senators

“The Senators”

One of our favorite drives through the Rocky Mountains is along one of the old highways that is less used and often frequented by wildlife.  This particular day we came upon a bachelor band of Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep rams high upon the cliffs alongside the road.  It was interesting to see the hierarchy among them as they laid sunning themselves on the 3 distinct levels of the rock shelves.  These 3 majestic rams with their impressive curls stood out amongst this band of bachelors, as mighty senators overseeing their reign.                                                                   - Stan Masters
