About Us
We are Alberta-born wildlife photographers, conservation advocates, and founders of Back to Nature Photography & Apparel. Now based in Fairmont Hot Springs, BC, we have spent years capturing stunning wildlife images across North America, photographing polar bears in Churchill, MB; Alaskan brown bears in Alaska; spirit bears in the Great Bear Rainforest; and hosted a guided grizzly bear photo safari on the Chilko River, BC. As our passion grew, so did the desire to learn more about the need to preserve and protect the amazing wildlife and their habitat that enhances our lives daily.
We started our business in 2013 as a way to share the beauty of nature through our lenses. Our love for nature has always been strong, but it wasn’t until adversity struck that we truly realized its profound impact. Nature became our therapy, helping us through difficult times, deepening our appreciation for its beauty, and reinforcing the urgent need to protect it. This realization became the foundation of our mission: "giving back to nature" by supporting conservation and wildlife rehabilitation programs through our proceeds and volunteering.
Our efforts have been recognized nationally—we have been interviewed by Dragon’s Den and featured on CTV News and Global News four times for our fundraising work supporting various nature programs. Recently we have been gifted the opportunity to participate in Western Canada's largest nature festival, Wings Over the Rockies.
Our vision is to promote solutions that support both mental health and environmental protection. By helping people reconnect with nature—not only for its breathtaking beauty but also for its therapeutic value—we hope to inspire others to appreciate and protect the natural world. The more people experience and enjoy nature, the more they will value and care for it. Every effort makes a difference, and we invite you to join us in being part of that difference.
