About
“To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.”
Henri Cartier-Bresson
In 2013, Alberta born wildlife photographers, Stan and Keltie Masters started Back to Nature Photography as a means of being able to share the unique beauty of nature through their lenses. As their passion grew, so did their desire to learn more about the need to preserve the delicate balance between mankind and nature. In doing so, they wanted to help preserve the amazing wildlife and their environment that enhances our lives daily.
When Stan and Keltie started their business, they made it their mission to “give back to nature” by supporting wildlife rehabilitation programs through various means. Whether it’s participating in owlet and fawn fostering programs, guest speaking at events, or supporting these programs through their photography proceeds, Stan and Keltie are passionate about making a difference.
“By interacting with nature, spending time in it and appreciating what it has to offer, we all can reap the benefits of feeling happier and healthier as a result” says Stan. “If we can help people reconnect with nature, it’s not just good for them, but it’s great for the environment. The result is a reciprocal relationship because the more people care for and appreciate the positive impact nature has on their lives, the more likely they will want to protect it.”
Although their stunning wildlife images have been well received on paper and canvas, they were looking for something different to help people reconnect with nature. In 2018, after a year of research seeking out new mediums, they launched their new “unique wearable works of art” featuring their detailed wildlife images and scenes of nature on beautiful high quality Canadian made products. These eye-catching products include items such as leggings, scarves, kimonos, handbags, and plush velveteen pillows, with more designs continuing to be developed.
Back to Nature Photography believes every effort makes a difference, and therefore they invite you to join them in knowing your purchases are part of that difference.
