Article: A Frost Blanket

A Frost Blanket

A Frost Blanket

“A Frosty Blanket”

Nature certainly knows how to camouflage its own.  It was a cool frosty morning when I went passed this majestic bull moose a couple of times before my wife spotted some movement within the willow bushes. We stopped and after scouring the area for some time we were able to find him lying down, as he blended in so well with his surroundings. We waited for close to an hour in the sub-zero temperatures, contemplating who was going to go back to the car to get some hot coffee. Finally when we did stand up, I got this 1 shot in before he shook himself and started to quickly defrost. This just shows how well insulated these amazing animals are, and that timing is everything!
