“Winter Pursuit”
One winter day while driving home on the backroads of the area I lived in, I noticed a large dark lump in the freshly fallen snow. Upon closer observation, I saw it was a beautiful great grey owl! Just as I got my camera raised to take a photo, it spread its large wings and lifted off in what seemed like an effortless motion, as it flew off into a winter pursuit for its next meal. The unique dark contrast of this beautiful owl against the white snow left me with almost like a pencil sketching of an image. But it’s those bright yellow eyes that certainly give it away. What a treat to capture this unique opportunity of these amazing owls!
