Three Sisters

“Three Sisters”

These stunning majestic peaks in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, can be seen from almost anywhere in the beautiful mountain town of Canmore. They were originally named the “Three Nuns” in 1883 by Albert Roger, after a snow storm left a heavy blanket of snow on the northern face of all three peaks.  In 1886, they were renamed the “Three Sisters” by George Dawson.  Today these iconic peaks are individually known as the Big Sister (Faith), the Middle Sister (Charity) and the Little Sister (Hope).   No matter what time of year you seen these picturesque peaks, they are sure to capture your attention as one of nature’s unique creations.
