Balancing Act

“The Balancing Act”

One year we took a small group out on a Grizzly Photo Safari in Central British Columbia. We often love watching them as much as we did photographing them as they would go about their daily activities. It was interesting to watch their behavior and learn from the guides that maneuvered our boats up and down the river each day. Throughout the week we watched this cub balance himself on a variety of rocks and logs along the water’s edge, as he followed his mom who was fishing in the deep water.  Since they had only recently come down out of the higher mountains, being around water was relatively new to them, and something many cubs would try and avoid, until eventually their mom was successful in coaxing them out into the water and they then realized this is where the fish are at!
