Alpine Splender

“Alpine Splendor”

Whenever we take a drive in Kananaskis Country, we can’t help but stop and enjoy this beautiful view looking down Smut Creek near Engadine Lodge.  On this cool autumn evening I was playing around with my new blue polarizer seeing how I could manipulate the glare from the sun to capture the details of Mount Nestor while the sun was setting.  To my surprise the cool hues that were captured by the polarizer created a unique sense of beauty and calm I always feel when I look down this creek.  For me, this place of amazing splendor will always have a special place in my heart as one of nature’s divine masterpieces.
