Anticipation

“Anticipation”

It was an early foggy frosty March morning when I came upon this beautiful Great Grey Owl. Perched high among the poplar trees, he was like a chameleon blending in with his neutral surroundings. I watched him in earnest as he tilted his head listening for movement within the deep snow below him, in anticipation of a tasty rodent. So as not to disturb his hunting I quickly captured a few images and then left him to continue his morning ritual.  Once again, I was blessed with this unique opportunity to witness nature at its best.
