The Storm Has Passed

Witnessing the Calm After the Chaos

One early October morning, while we were driving through Kananaskis Country, we could see a snowstorm building in the distance. Dark clouds rolled across the mountains ahead of us, and for a while, everything felt quiet and expectant, as though the landscape was holding its breath.

By the time we reached the valley, the storm had already moved on. In its wake, it left behind a soft white blanket of snow that gently transformed the landscape. The air felt still and fresh, carrying that unmistakable calm that follows a passing storm.

As we took in the scene, a bull moose emerged, slowly crossing the valley floor. Unhurried and steady, he moved through the snow as if the moment belonged entirely to him. Standing there, watching this peaceful scene unfold, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude - to witness such calm after chaos, and to be reminded that even after the storm passes, beauty quietly remains.
