Watcher Between Two Worlds
"Watcher Between Two Worlds"
Stan captured this image in the hush of winter, when the world feels paused and sound is softened by snow. The landscape was washed entirely in white - sky, ground, and distance blending into one - leaving the raven as the only dark presence, suspended in the silence.
In that moment, the raven did not move. It watched.
Perched against the stark winter backdrop, it felt as though the raven existed between two worlds - the tangible and the unseen. Winter has a way of stripping life back to its essence, and here, with colour absent and time slowed, the raven became both anchor and messenger.
Ravens have long been regarded as symbols of awareness, transition, and deep knowing. In this moment, those meanings felt tangible. The bird stood as a quiet observer, holding space between what has been and what is yet to come - between endings and beginnings, stillness and change.
Nothing needed to happen for the moment to be complete. The raven’s presence was enough.
Watcher Between Two Worlds invites you to sit in the quiet, to notice the spaces in between, and to honour the moments when nature speaks without sound - when a single dark silhouette against winter white can feel like a doorway rather than a boundary.
