In the early spring, the hungry grizzly bears emerge from their rocky dens located high up in the mountains. From there they make their way down into the valleys where the snow has since melted away allowing the new grass and nutrient rich dandelions to grow, something they love to eat! Watching them from a safe distance, while in our vehicle, it’s amazing how quickly they can devour a patch of these juicy dandelions after their long winter nap. Nothing like a bear on a feeding mission!
