“Foraging”

While out driving through the mountains, we came across this large healthy looking black bear. With the wildflowers in full bloom, he made his way along the hillside foraging for plants, grubs or whatever else he could find to fatten up for his upcoming winter hibernation. It’s important they get enough protein and nutrients to help them through, so we make sure than whenever we see wildlife hunting or foraging, we give them ample space and stay far back, so in order not to disturb what they need to do.  Thank goodness for long lenses!
