Article: Spirit Yoga

A spirit bear entering the river with a green background.

Spirit Yoga

The spirit bear, also known as the Kermode bear, is one of the rarest bears on Earth. Seeing one in the wild is a gift in itself. But on this day, we were fortunate enough to witness something even more extraordinary. After resting peacefully in the mossy forest beside the river, this majestic bear slowly walked into the water, paused, and gently stretched. Its movements were so fluid, so serene, that it looked like it was moving through a yoga flow. We watched in awe as it shifted its weight, lifted one leg slightly, and seemed to embrace the cool river around it.

We couldn’t help but nickname this image "Spirit Yoga," because that’s exactly what it felt like - a moment of soulful connection and mindful movement in nature. This moment left a deep impression on us, reminding us to take time to pause, breathe, and reconnect.

Every time we look at this image, it brings us back to that peaceful stretch in the rainforest, to the strength and calm of this incredible creature. We hope it brings a sense of that same serenity into your home.

Your purchase of "Spirit Yoga" supports our efforts to protect wild spaces and give back to wildlife rehabilitation programs across Canada.
