Article: Morning Visitor

A red fox with and orange back ground.

Morning Visitor

There’s something about a red fox that always feels a little magical.

With their long, bushy tails and that rich, rusty-orange fur, they seem to carry a quiet kind of confidence… and just a hint of curiosity.

This little visitor was no exception.

One morning, our guests at our Back to Nature Retreat noticed him watching them through the lower-level windows. Calm, curious, and completely at ease, he stood there as if he belonged, quietly observing the world inside while remaining perfectly wild.

When I stepped outside to find him, he hadn’t gone far.

Instead, he was wandering through our yard and flowerbeds, moving gently through the space as though it were his own. There was no rush, no fear… just a peaceful presence that felt like a gift to witness.

Encounters like this always leave an impression.

A simple, beautiful reminder that when we share space with nature, sometimes it chooses to come a little closer… and let us be part of its world, even if just for a moment.
